On October 13, 2026, it announced a brand-new smart display called Apple HomeView, a faster Apple TV 4K, the HomePod mini 2, and a range of cameras, locks and thermostats made with partners. There was no live event this time, just a set of press releases.
Here’s what each product does, how much it costs in the US and UK, when you can buy it, and whether it’s worth waiting for.

1. Apple HomeView: Apple’s First Smart Home Display
HomeView is a 7-inch touchscreen designed to be the control center of your home. It comes in two versions: a tabletop model (silver, starlight, rose pink or space gray) and a wall-mounted model (space gray or silver).
Key Features
- Personal home screens: Recognizes up to six people by face and shows each person their own home screen.
- Camera wall: Shows up to nine security camera feeds at once.
- Safety alerts: Listens for smoke and carbon monoxide alarm sounds and alerts you.
- Calls and audio: FaceTime with Center Stage, Intercom between rooms, and multiroom music.
- Siri AI (beta): The new, smarter Siri is available in beta. It requires an iPhone or iPad that supports Apple Intelligence, running the latest software.
Price and Availability
Both models cost $299 / £299. You’ll also need a power mount: USB-C ($59.95 / £54.95), AC wired ($79.95 / £69.95), or Power over Ethernet ($129.95 / £119.95, arriving in early 2027). HomeView goes on sale November 13 in the US, UK, Canada, Australia, India, New Zealand and Singapore. It isn’t being sold in the EU at launch.
Note: Prices and availability are based on Apple’s official announcements at the time of writing and may vary by country, retailer, taxes and promotions. Always check the latest pricing on Apple’s official website before buying.
2. New Apple TV 4K (4th Generation)
The new Apple TV 4K is the first major update in years, and it’s designed to be the hub of your home theater.
- A19 chip: Apple says up to 50% faster CPU and up to 2x faster graphics.
- AV1 decoding: Better quality and efficiency for modern streaming services.
- Hands-free Siri: Three far-field microphones, so you can talk to it without the remote.
- Surround sound with HomePods: Pair up to four HomePod mini 2 or HomePod (2nd generation) speakers as front and rear surround speakers.
- Siri Remote with Find My: The remote can now play a sound to help you find it. Precision Finding needs an iPhone 17 or later, iPhone Air or iPhone Duo.
- Siri AI (beta): Comes with tvOS 27.2 and also works on Apple TV 4K (2nd generation) and later, in English in the US, UK and several other countries.
Note: Performance figures come from Apple and have not been independently verified by Next DigiTech. Results may differ in real-world use.
The catch: the price has gone up to $299 / £299. It goes on sale November 13.

3. HomePod mini 2
The small, affordable speaker gets its first real upgrade.
- S10 chip and a new “Sound Glow” light on top.
- Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 6 for faster, more reliable connections.
- Recognizes up to six voices, so it can give personal answers to each family member.
- Can act as a speaker for your Mac and as part of the new Apple TV surround setup.
- Five colors: pink, green, blue, white and midnight.
It costs $149 / £149 and goes on sale October 30. One important note: Siri AI isn’t on HomePod mini 2 at launch. Apple says it will arrive in a future software update.

What Is Siri AI?
Siri AI is the rebuilt, smarter version of Siri that first appeared on iPhone with iOS 27. It can understand more natural requests, answer general questions and take actions across apps. On the new home devices, it’s still labeled a beta, so expect some rough edges. Learn more about Apple’s AI features in our guide to the best built-in AI features on iPhone and Android, and check whether you should update to iOS 27 first.
What Apple Didn’t Announce (Yet)
No new Macs or iPads were part of the October 13 announcements. Reports from Bloomberg and MacRumors point to another Apple event around October 28, possibly with new MacBook Pro models, an M6 iMac and an OLED iPad mini. Apple hasn’t confirmed this, so if you’re shopping for a Mac, it may be worth waiting a couple of weeks.
Note: Event dates and product launches based on media reports are unconfirmed and can change. Please confirm the latest details on Apple’s official website or newsroom.
Should You Buy Them?
- HomeView: Worth a look if you already use Apple Home and want an easy wall or kitchen control panel. If you mostly use Alexa or Google Home, it isn’t a reason to switch.
- Apple TV 4K: A big upgrade if you have an older model or want HomePod surround sound. If your current Apple TV 4K works fine, Siri AI is coming to it anyway via tvOS 27.2.
- HomePod mini 2: A solid upgrade for music and voice. If you want Siri AI on your speaker right away, wait for the software update.
